Match Reports

Minor Football-Division 4 Playoffs

Ferrybank 3-7 Cois Bhride 2-7.

Last Wednesday evening we travelled to Leamybrien to play Ferrybank in the County Minor Football Semi-Final. This game was similar to the league game played a few weeks previous with the game end to end and very little between the teams. After a slow start we found ourselves trailing at half-time by 5 points. However we came more into the game in the second half with a Adam Crawford goal from the penalty spot ensuring we led by a point as the game entered injury time. However Ferrybank scored a goal on the break and added a point to win by a goal. Over the hour we were the better team, but unfortunately some poor finishing allowed Ferrybank to punish us in the end.

Difference in the scoreline that Cois Bhríde say was scored - and what was put up on Waterford GAA Website - but in the end - the end result the same!!

U12 GO Games

Cois Bhride 6-3 Youghal 6-3

Last Tuesday we travelled to Youghal to play the hosts in the U12 Go Games. Playing with the wind we raced into a 3 goal lead with the goals coming from Eoin McGrath, Will Cunningham and Mark Stewart. We continued to play well with Ciaran McCarthy, Kieran Crawford and Mark Stewart adding points to ensure we built up a good lead at half-time. However facing into the wind in the second half we were finding scores harder to get and a injury to Ciaran McCarthy effected the shape of our back line. Youghal finished the stronger and fought back with a lsat minute goal to earn a draw, Next up for the U12s is a home game versus Lismore.
