Results:

U-16 B  Football  County Semi final

 Stradbally 3-15 Cois Bhride 2-8

As the score line tells you Stradbally were far too strong for us in the semi final of the county football last Sunday in the Fraher field. We started poorly and were 3-7 to a point down at half time. We picked it up big time and got back to 6 points but they just seem to catch us on the break and they’re forwards were lethal in front of goals. That’s the football finished now for the season and the team were beaten in both the semi finals of the county and the western championship. Hurling is now starting after the junior cert and we wish all the lads doing exams the best of luck.

Big  thanks to all the drivers and supporters on the day.

Panel. Davie Tobin, Colm Roche 0-4, Kelvyn O Farrell , Jake Beecher  1-02, Jack Tobin, William Hogan, Tom Harker (capt) Adam Crawford , Ryan grey , Jordan Henley , Eddie Hynes , Pedro Enrique 0-1,Jake Neville, Alan Buckley , Padraig Roche, John Paul Lucey 1-0, Paul O Mahony 0-1, Cathal Geary, Dylan Mangan, Eoin O’Reilly and Matty Schiebelreiter.

U10  Ballyduff Tournament

Our under 10’s travelled to Ballyduff last Friday to take part in the Ballyduff tournament.  Our first match was against Castlelyons and despite having a reasonable amount of possession we failed to score in this game and were defeated on a scoreline of 2.3 to no score.  We had a number of scoring opportunities that skimmed the post on a number of occasions.  Our next game was against St. Mary’s of Clonmel who  proved to be too strong for our lads but we went down fighting on 6.3 to 2.2.  Our last game was against Brikeys and we finished on a high winning comfortably with scores from Jake Chambers, Padraig Hynes,  Eoin Linnehan, Kevin Mulcahy and Tom Dalton.

Team:  Tom Dalton, David Collins, Eoin Linnehan, Cian Hurley, Mark Dalton, Eoin Hurley, Padraig Hynes, Jake Chambers, Rebecca, Josh Geary, and Kevin Mulcahy.

Big thanks to Ballyduff for the invitation and refreshments.

U11 Hurling  Town & Country League:

We played Youghal away in the 4th round of the above mentioned league last Thursday.Played in glorious weather conditions we got off to a great start scoring a goal and a point before Youghal scored their first point,we played some great hurling with some of our younger players doing really well. Our back line were in fine form also and at half time we led 2 - 2 to 0 - 1 .In the second half Youghal really came into the game more scoring a goal and 3 points in quick succession but in fairness to the lads they rallied again scoring another goal and a point. We managed to stay ahead till full time and won on the final score of 3 - 3 to 1-6. A big well done to all the team, they played some great hurling, considering that most of them were playing their second game of the day in very hot and humid conditions. We play Killeagh in the final round of games next Thursday 31st May in Killeagh, all players will be notified by text about the arrangements.

Fixtures:
