Champion your local club -
Cois Bhríde has entered the "champion your local club" promotion in the Irish Independent.  All we need to do is collect 250 tokens from the Irish Inependent and Sunday Independent - and we will receive €500 worth of sports equipment.  If we are successful in this  -the sports equipment will be donated to both Primary Schools. So - forget the Examiner for the minute - and buy the Independent please!!
Get well wishes: -
to our popular PRO Anne Crawford who was hospitalised recently - Best wishes Anne for a speedy recovery.
Best of luck to all the Cois Bhríde players who will be competing in the Scor na Paisti semi final - which will be hosted at the K.G.K. Sports Hall in Knockanore on Sunday March 18th.
Training: will commence for all age groups at Tallow GAA pitch every Friday night going forward from 7pm to 8pm - please note all age groups from u8 up to and incl u12's.  It is football training this friday night for everyone.
Minor Footballers: Cois Bhríde footballers will play St Saviours in the 1st round of the County Championship on Bank Holiday Monday @ 11.30am in Tallow.
U14 Football: On Sunday March 18th the u14 Footballers will travel to Bohadoon to play St Pats - a 12 noon game.  It is very important please that we will have a full turnout of players on Sunday morning - as you may remember we had to concede the first game due to lack of numbers.  We are appealing please to all parents to confirm by text to the selectors if a player is not available to travel on the day. Match Results:
U7's and u8's travelled to Ballyduff Upper last friday night to play two indoor hurling games - it was the first night that alot of these players wore the Cois Bhríde colours - and a great night was had by all.
U13 Footballers hosted An Gaeltacht last Sun morning in the Western Championship.  Cois Bhride started the game in whirlwind fashion with 4 points scored within the first 5 minutes.  However An Gaeltacht began to settle and it took some outstanding saves from Mark Stewart in the Cois Bhríde goal to keep us ahead.  However as half-time approached, Ivan O'Neill got the faintest of touches to a high ball to direct the ball in to the net.  Minutes later, Ivan scored his second goal with a similiar finish, to ensure that we went in at half time leading by 8 points.  In the second half, the youngest player on the team, Padraig Hynes showed his more experieced tam mates how to finish, as he scored a hat-trick of goals. Not to be outdone, his older brother Billy chipped in with a fine individual goal as we ran out comfortable winners.  So the the panel of :-
Mark Stewart, Oisin Ormonde, Tom Roche, Sean Henley, Kieran Crawford, Robbie Geary, Owen McGrath, Billy Hynes, Darragh Buckley, Ben Ahearne, Ian Beecher, Ivan O'Neill, Liam Motherway, Adam Feeney, Padraig Hynes - we say well done boys.
