U16 Hurling County Championship

Our U16 hurlers made the long trip to Passage last Sunday evening to play the hosts in the U16A Hurling Championship. This game was played in driving wind and rain which ruined the game as a spectacle. We got a great start to the game with goals from Kelvin O’Farrell and Ryan Grey ensuring we led at halftime by 2-5 to 0-08. In the second half there was very little between both teams and some great long range pointed frees from Jake Beecher ensured we kept ahead of a very good Passage side. As Passage piled on the pressure in the closing minutes we needed heroic defending from Padraig Roche and Darragh Mulcahy to ensure we held out to win by 3 points. Next up is a home game in Knockanore versus Ballyduff Lower next Monday evening.

U11 Town & Country League

Our U11 hurlers traveled to Youghal last Friday evening to play Youghal in the first round of the Town & Country League. This was a very close fought game with very little between both sides. Cois Bhride had a great performance from Padraig Hynes in attack and it was his 2-03 which kept us in the game. We also scored a great goal from Mark Dalton and as time was almost up we had a great chance for the winning goal which unfortunately went wide and we lost on a 4-02 to 3-03 score line.

U10 Hurling Blitz

This Saturday we host a Munster U10 Hurling Blitz which begins at 11am. In this blitz we will host Ballyduff Upper, Castlelyons and Bride Rovers. Players will be notified of the arrangements by text.

Munster Minor Hurling

This Thursday evening the Waterford Minor Hurlers play Tipperary in Walsh Park in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship. Cois Bhride will be represented by Colm Roche. We wish Colm and the team the best of luck in this year’s Championship.
