Cois Bhride GAA Notes - Sponsored by Cunningham's Hardware, Tallow

Irish Independent Sports Equipment

Thanks to all our members who collected tokens in the Irish Independent Promotion earlier this year. As a result of collecting the required 250 tokens Cois Bhride recently received the sports equipment, valued at €500, from Independent Newspapers. Cois Bhride will supplement the equipment with sliothars, hurleys and footballs which will be presented to both Tallow and Knockanore Primary Schools in September.

Minor Hurling

This Wednesday evening our Minor Hurlers host Ardmore in Tallow at 6.30pm in the Minor Hurling Championship.

Tobin Cup

This Saturday our U14 Hurlers will host Killeagh in the Tobin Cup in Knockanore @ 4pm. All support would be welcome.

U11 Football

This Friday evening our U11 Footballers travel to Abbeyside where they will play The Nire and Killeagh in U11 Go Games.


Cois Bhride Fundraiser

Its that time of year again when Cois Bhride runs its Annual Fundraiser Draw. This is the only fundraising that the club carries out each year. This year the prize is a very attractive €1000. Tickets are only €2 each or 3 tickets for €5. If your not in you can't win!!

Knockanore Fete

This Sunday as part of Knockanore Fete our U9-U12 players will be playing for the Ned Power Shield. The game will be played between two teams selected from our U9-U12 panels and is scheduled for a 1pm start. The game will then be followed by an exhibition game from our U7-U8 players who have been developing their skills on the astroturf pitch during the Summer months. This game is scheduled for a 1.45pm throw in. All players will be contacted by text on the arrangements.

 Best of Luck

We would like to wish the best of luck to the Cois Bhride players on the Tony Forristal this weekend and also to the U15 who take part in the carrigdhoun munster inter county,and to the under 16 in the county hurling tournment played in north tipperary.


The U14s were defeated by Portlaw last Thursday evening and will face Ballygunner and Lismore in their final two games in the Championship.
