Ned Power Winter League

Last Friday evening the Annual Ned Power Winter League started in the Astroturf Pitch in Tallow with all teams playing two games each. Next Friday evening the League continues with all players asked to be in Tallow Astroturf Pitch @ 6:50pm.

Indoor Hurling Training

Indoor Hurling Training also started last Friday evening in Knockanore for the U6-U8s. It continues this Friday evening @ 7pm in the KGK Hall in Knockanore. Players must be Under 6 (Born 2007) to play in the Friday Evening Sessions.

U14 Football

St Olivers 3-07 Cois Bhride 1-06

Last Sunday morning our U14 footballers began their football championship with a home game versus St Olivers. We started brightly with a goal from Ivan O’Neill and points from Eoin McGrath and Darragh Buckley ensuring we went in at half-time level with the scores 1-04 each. However in the second half we gave a poor performance and having missed a penalty we only added a further two points as St Olivers scored two goals to ensure that they recorded their first win of the Championship. Next up for us is an away game versus Ardmore next Sunday morning with throw in again @ 10.30am.

Minor Football

Our Minor Footballers are back in action on Sunday March 10th where we have a home game versus An Gaeltacht, with throw in @ 11.30am.

Ballyduff Indoor Hurling Blitz

Our U9s play their final blitz in Ballyduff next Saturday morning. This week its football and first game throws in at 10.30am.

U10 Football League

It’s also going to be a busy few weeks for our U10 Footballers who begin their Western U10 Football League next Sunday morning with a home game versus Brickey Rangers. We follow that up with an away game versus Ballyduff Upper on March 10th, home to An Gaeltacht on March 24th, Home to Cappoquin on March 31st and away to Abbeyside B on April 7th. All games will commence on Sunday mornings at 11am.

Membership

It’s that time of year again when we appeal to all of our club members to pay their Annual Membership. This is especially important for all club players as you will not be insured on the playing field if you are not a fully paid up member. The membership fee has not changed for the last few years, and for 2013 Family Membership is just €20 and €10 for a player. Membership Forms will be available at Indoor Training in Knockanore and at the Winter League in Tallow this Friday evening.
