COIS BHRIDE GAA NOTES SPONORED BY CUNNINGHAMS OF TALLOW

Under 8's blitz

U8s have been ivited to play in the Killeagh U8 Blitz on June 16

Under 11 Town & Country League:

We played Killeagh on Thursday last,31st May,in Killeagh. This was our last game in the league and we were hoping to end it with a win.Unfortunately we had to play without some of our regular players due to injury and other commitments, but the lads that took their place did fantastic. We played some great hurling throughout the game but luck was against us on many occassions. At half time we were 2 points behind but in the second half we managed to get our noses in front near the end but we conceded a very soft goal with a few minutes left and ended up losing by 1 goal. A big thanks to all the lads who travelled to the game to ensure that we fulfilled the fixture and a special thanks to the parents who helped with the travel for all the away games.Well done to all the lads and just a reminder that training continues every Friday in Tallow @ 7.00 p.m. Panel: S.Henley,C.McCarthy,M.Condon,W.Cunningham,A.Walsh,D.Beecher,D.Collins,M.Dalton,
T.Dalton,J.Geary,J.Chambers,E.Lenihan and J.Sheehan.

Under 13 Western Hurling Championship

Dungarvan 6-10 Cois Bhride 5-06.

Last Monday evening we travelled to Dungarvan to play the hosts in the first round of the Western U13 Hurling Championship. We were slow to settle and found ourselves 3 points down midway through the half with Dungarvan getting all their scores from frees. However we began to settle and a Ian Beecher point was followed by a John Walsh goal. We finished the half stronger as Darragh Buckley added another goal, giving us a 2-2 to 0-6 lead at halftime. In the second half the game really opened up with a total of nine goals being scored by both teams. However a physically stronger Dungarvan side were able to score goals at crucial times and they ran out deserving winners. In our next game we are at home to Brickey Rangers.
