Minor Football

Our Minor Footballers hosted An Gaeltacht last Saturday afternoon in the Minor Football Championship. Playing against the breeze in the first half we found scores hard to come by and went in trailing by 1-06 to 0-01 at half-time. In the second half An Gaeltacht scored a goal straight from the throw in to extend their lead, but to our credit we replied with a goal from Colm Roche and three unanswered points to reduce the gap. However An Gaeltacht moved up another gear and added on a further goal and some great points to run out deserving winners on a 3-11 to 1-06 score line.

U14 Football

It’s a busy week for our U14 footballers as they have a rescheduled game away to The Nire this evening (Wednesday) before playing An Gaeltacht at home on Sunday morning. We then have a home game versus Clashmore next Tuesday evening March 26th.

U10 Football/Hurling

It’s also going to be a busy weekend for our U10s as they travel to Ballyduff to play in their annual U10 Hurling Blitz this Saturday morning. On Sunday morning they’ll turn their attention to football as we host An Gaeltacht in the U10 Football League.

Scor na Paisti

Last weekend a number of Cois Bhride players were on stage in the Scor na Paisti county semi-finals in Knockanore and Dungarvan. Well done to Oisin Ormonde who qualified in the recitation on Friday evening in Knockanore and to Mark Stewart who qualified in solo singing in Dungarvan on Saturday evening. They were also joined by Liam Motherway, Ivan O’Neill, Jack Sliney and Mark Stewart who are part of the set dancing teams that qualified for the County Finals this Sunday evening in Cappoquin. We wish all our players the best of luck on Sunday.
