Cois Bhríde Notes March 19th 2012

Champion your local Club:-
As per the notes last week - keep on buying the Sunday and Irish Independent - and collect the tokens on them - by doing this - and donating the tokens to Cois Bhríde - we will stand to receive €500 worth of sports equipment which will be donated to both primary Schools. - Promotion only runs till May 4th - so get reading.
Child Development Programme:
This was hosted by Michelle Power last week - and thanks to all our coaches who attended it.  It included informative and pratical approaches to coaching and developing young players.
Croke Park Activity Day :-
Please note change of date - initally our u12 team were due to attend this activity day durning the Easter hols - but it has been rescheduled now to Aug.
Scor na bPaisti - :
The qualifying round of Scor na bPaisti was held in Knockanore on Sun last 18th of March - and on the night we had a number of Cois Bhríde players who qualifed for the County Finals in Cappoquin on Fri March 30th.  So to : Mark Steward, Liam Motherway, Jack Sliney, Ivan O'Neill, Oisin Ormonde, Ciaran Hunt, Kieran Crawford, Diarmuid Costello we say well done boys - and continued success in the County Finals.
Keegan O'Farrell and Liam Dalton have also qualified for the All Ireland Semi Final in the Adult Scor Music - so well done to them also and continued success at the next stage of competition.
Minor Football:
This was a home game in Tallow on Mon March 19th - and Cois Bhríde got off to a great start in the game  - however St Saviours settled well - but Colm Roche got a goal to ensure that we went in at halt time level.  In the second half both sides exchanged scores before a brace of goals from Billy Buckley and Alan Curley ensured that we ran out winners 4-09 to 2.06
u14 Football:
We travelled to Bohadoon to play a strong St Pats side in the u14 Western football on Sunday March 18th - and the home team were the winners.
u13 Footballers are at home to the Nire this Sunday morning @ 11.30am in the Western Football Championship.
u8's to u12 training in Tallow GAA pitch this Friday evening 7pm to 8pm.  This week it is football for all age groups.
