Minor Hurling

Cois Bhride 2-23 Ardmore 1-06

Last Wednesday our Minors were at home to Ardmore in the County Minor Championship, with a win required to ensure our place in the knockout stages. Ardmore opened the scoring in the first minute, and both teams traded points before a great ball after 10 minutes from Jack Tobin put Paidi Aherne through on goal. With the goal at his mercy Paidi somehow managed to hit the post from all of ten inches! Luckily Stefan Tobin was on hand to tap in the rebound. Soon after we were awarded a penalty which was brilliantly finished to the net by Rob O'Sullivan, to give us a comfortable lead at halftime. In the second half we continued to dominate and some great points from Keegan O'Farrell, Stefan Tobin and Rob O'Sullivan ensured we ran out comfortable winners. This Wednesday evening we are away to St Olivers in our last league game.

Well Done

Well done to the Cois Bhride players who lined out for Waterford last weekend. Darragh Mulcahy and Dylan Mangan both played in the Tony Forristal, but having defeated Laois and Cork were defeated by a strong Kilkenny team in the final on Sunday. In the U15 Carrigdhoun Tournament Cois Bhride were represented by Jake Beecher, Jordan Farmer and Kelvyn O Farrell who won the plate final. In the U16 Tipperary Supporters Club Tournament both Colm Roche and Adam Crawford both played against Offaly and Galway, and Dublin last Saturday and were unlucky not to reach the final, having been eliminated on score difference, but got threw to play the shield final on sunday in semple stadium against kilkenny and came out strong winners.

Tobin Cup

Last Saturday afternoon our U14s hosted Killeagh in the annual Tobin Cup in Knockanore. Unfortunately we were short a number of players due to injury and the Tony Forristal, and a stronger Killeagh team ran out easy winners. After the game both teams and supporters enjoyed refreshments and the Tobin Cup was presented to the victorious Killeagh captain. This Wednesday evening our U14s play their last game in the County Championship when we host Ballygunner in Tallow.

Knockanore Fete

Last Sunday our U9s-U12s played a very competitive game as part of Knockanore Fete which needed extra time to seperate the two teams. This game was followed by a game between the future stars of Cois Bhride, the U7s-U8s who showed the skills that they have been developing every Friday evening on the astroturf pitch.

U12 Football

This Friday evening our U12s switch codes to football where they play Brickey Rangers in Bushy Park. Players will be informed of travel arrangements by text.
